Cultural Competitive and Emerging Film Festival Grant Awardees
Congratulations to awardees through our 2024 Cultural Competitive Grant Program and Emerging Film Festival competitive grant programs. These grant awards will be administered by Suffolk County Economic Development & Planning’s Office of Cultural Affairs.
We would like to offer you the opportunity to contact us to seek feedback on your application from the Citizens Advisory Board for the Arts or the Suffolk County Film Commission. To do so, please email Diana Cherryholmes: diana.cherryholmes@suffolkcountyny.gov.
In order for us to prepare a contract, we must receive and approve the following documentation:
The Project Summary and Explanation of Budget (2 pages)
Must be submitted by June 21, 2024. This form will be sent via email once the department has received a valid email address. Please use the online version of this form, as it will calculate expenses HERE.
Expense must equal the grant amount. Budget narrative (page 2) must correspond with the Project Summary (page 1). Project must be approved by the department and contract must be fully executed before your event takes place. Event name, date(s), time(s) and location(s) must be included on the Project Summary. Certification of Insurance and Declaration page for the organization (all contracts require $2,000,000 coverage for each occurrence)
The certification must be current, note Suffolk County as a certificate holder and as additional insured, and include a 30 day written cancellation notice. If the agency does not have the required cover, a waiver may be requested. Waivers can be requested by sending a letter on your organization’s letterhead along with a copy of the certificate. Organizations with employees must also show proof of workers compensation insurance. All organizations must also submit a copy of the Policy Declaration pages.
In addition, Attending the Contract Training for the Cultural Competitive and Emerging Film Festival awardees is required.
The Contract Training will be conducted via Microsoft Teams on June 14, 2024 at 10:00am. The Contract Training will be recorded and later uploaded on our website for viewing. This training provides agencies with a detailed review of the contracting process and instructions on form completion. The calendar invitation will contain the Microsoft Teams instructions. If you do not have this calendar invitation by June 1, 2024 please contact us.
To expedite the contract process, you may submit the completed documentation as outlined in this award letter, in advance of the training, for our review. Please email completed documents to diana.cherryholmes@suffolkcountyny.gov.
